Wrap Up of the 2021 Softball Season

As the 2021 softball season wraps up, the players are woking hard as ever to prepare for playoffs. With a current overall record of 8-9 with three more games on the schedule, the Lady Eagles close the season with a .309 team batting average and a .907 fielding percentage.

Kadyn Smith, a senior who has led Bakersfield Christian for the past four years and secured a Division 6 ring her freshman year, pitched a total of 99.2 innings and struck out a total of 130 batters, averaging a total of 7.6 strikeouts per game and an opponent batting average of .195.

With playoffs fast approaching, the Lady Eagles must win their next three season games to secure home games for the playoffs. BCHS is ranked #6 in the Central Section division VI, below Foothill, who the Lady Eagles have bested in previous years, but the Lady Eagles are predicted to secure the win over foothill. Bakersfield Christian is leading their playoff division with 15 homeruns, promising an exciting next few games.

Amanda Lazaro, junior second baseman, leads the team with a .545 batting average, followed by Kadyn Smith with a .490 average and Brooklynn Reed with a .446 average. Bakersfield Christian is leading their division in homeruns with a total of 15 homeruns.
