Although nationwide Covid numbers are surging and vaccination distribution is off to a slow start locally, the number of BCHS students with COVID cases remains low with a total of four cases in the past two weeks. President-elect Joe Biden will soon have a rapid release of the most available vaccine doses to protect more people with his 1.9 trillion dollar plan, according the Associated Press. We are currently in faze 1b with the elderly receiving their vaccinations and teachers next on their list. “Students and staff are doing an excellent job in doing our Covid protocols, which has been helping us immensely,” stated BCHS Student Affairs Director Cerrena Wells. People of all ages are being patient with the distribution of the vaccine and they know that those at higher risk are being treated first.
